Last year, I had a travel in Tibet. This travel impressed me a lot. And here I’d like to share something about the altitude sickness with you and hope you will benefit from it.
As we know that Tibet, which means Tibet Tibet Autonomous Region, is located in the Southwest of China. When you step into the area, you may feel the altitude stress because of its geographic location. Don’t be afraid! Just take it easy! Actually in most cases, the symptom of the altitude stress is caused by people’s psychological effect. These people usually are afraid of the plateau and lack of confidence to conquer it. The most effective way is to be equipped with the knowledge about the plateau and how to face the plateau and hold a positive attitude toward it.
If we have the altitude sickness, then what should we do? There are hospitals or public health centers in Tibetan cities or towns. If you are not serious, you can adjust yourself to it. You should have a rest, and have something to eat and practice less. If you are really serious, for example, you catch a bad cold or edema appears on your body, you have to see a doctor and get away from the plateau as soon as possible. There are many flights in Lhasa everyday and it is convenient. Once you come into the plane or get close to the plain, you will return to normal and the symptom will disappear right away.
